Black's Beach

I was starting my junior year at San Diego State. It was the sunday before classes started. I went to La Jolla Shores Beach and it was packed. I drove up to Torrey Pines Road up to the top of Black's. I came down the cliffs and found spot just south of where it started to get crowded. I laid down my stuff and noticed that two extremely attractive girls, in their early twenties, had also laid they're stuff out relatively close to where I was. I stripped down to my gym shorts not being sure of how far I wanted to go. The two girls stripped down all the way. I walked to the water as a precautionary measure making sure that I wasn't going to embarrass myself later. The girls followed me into the rather cool water and played for about ten minutes. I had finished cooling myself off and walked back to where I laid my stuff out. The girls followed me back and started talking among themselves. I toweled off and sat looking at the ocean. I heard one of the girls talking louder than normal and I looked over to her. She was asking me a question and she was just out of reach and I couldn't hear what she said, so I got up and walked over to where they were. She asked me about other accesses to the beach, and after talking to her a while she invited me over to join her and her friend. I went back to get my stuff and came back to where they were and I had to make THE decision. A thousand thoughts went through my head before I got the courage and dropped my gym shorts. My saving grace was the cool water for about the first five minutes and after that it really wasn't a big deal any more. We talked for hours and seemed very natural and all the hangups I had were gone.
On my way to class the next morning I saw the girl that invited me over. She called out "Hey Dave I didn't recognize you with your clothes on." I never saw her after that. I've been back a few times since and after the first time, it's really no big deal.
