The owners of Casa Cruz in Andalucia have, during the last two years, traditionally renovated the Cortijo And Casita to a very high standard and transformed them into ideal accommodation for a naturist holiday.
Casa Cruz is set in private grounds with a swimming pool and features a Cortijo, which can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms, and a separate Casita that has one double bedroom.
The villas can be rented individually or together to accommodate a party of eight.
The Casita sleeps a maximum of two people and has a double bedroom which has a kingsize bed.
This is tastefully decorated with lovely shades of colour and beautiful bed linen and towels. These are provided by the owners who live within the grounds of Casa Cruz.
Opposite the bedroom is the shower room which has been lovingly tiled out with walk-in shower unit, basin and WC.
These two rooms are at the rear of the Casita. At the front is the lounge with seating for up to four people and a dining area with table, again for up to four people with a lovely kitchen to the right hand side. There is no central heating in the Casita but it does have a log burner and electric radiators.
There are soft closing cupboards and drawers, a modern marble topped sink unit and gas cooker and oven.
The Casita is open plan and there are two French doors which lead from the living area and look out from a terraced area across the pool.
This is a lovely patio area in the front where there is a huge old wooden table with chairs, ideal for eating your breakfast and looking out over the pool and beyond to the olive groves.
The entrance to the Cortijo, which sleeps up to six people, is through the front of the house directly into a lovely dining room with a fabulous table and six chairs.
To the left is an airy kitchen with a small table and chairs, double drainer sink, fridge freezer, gas cooker and oven and a dish washer. This is beautifully decorated with granite worktops in traditional Andalucía style.
All cupboards and drawers are soft closing. There is plenty of lighting and a music centre to play your ipod.
To the other side of the dining area is a small comfortable lounge with two 2-seater settees and a lovely old coffee table in between. To the right of the dining area is a door leading into the cool reading room where you can relax for a while with a good book if you need a rest from the sun.
Through this room and out into a corridor there is a downstairs shower room with basin and WC and heated towel rail.
A staircase leads up to a double bedroom with chest of drawers, wardrobe and shelving. It is all beautifully decorated and airy.
Back downstairs between the dining area and kitchen is the main staircase that leads to a lovely landing area which again has been tastefully decorated and has an arm chair with table beside. Here you will find the bathroom and two further double bedrooms.
The first bedroom is quite magnificent and has two large single beds that can be adapted into a king size bed.
There is lovely linen on all beds as you would expect of a house of this calibre using soft colours throughout. There is also a wardrobe, chest of drawers and shelving. This is a very light and pretty room and has the original beam across retaining the original character.
The bathroom is off the landing and has a bath, walking in shower and a "his and hers" basin unit, plus the WC. Modern, clean and lots of storage space.
The second bedroom is the master double bedroom with its own Juliet balcony overlooking the pool and hills beyond. A really luxurious bedroom with a real "wow" factor - with a lovely double bed, freestanding mirror and sofa, wardrobe and chest of drawers with soft tranquil lighting.
This house is for rental all year round and all rooms have central heating for the winter months.
Should you have washing to be done, there is a washing machine in the cortijo or this can be arranged with the owners for a small charge.
The main entrance to Casa Cruz is through two large wrought iron gates that can be closed and locked for the night.
There is a large amount of parking space around a beautiful tree and small gardens in the centre. Flowers and trees have been planted everywhere.
Wide steps lead down to the 11m x 5m pool which has 4 steps leading into the shallow end.
There are plenty of sun loungers surrounding the pool and a beautiful addition of square pots with small plants at each corner.
There is now a new huge pool kitchen, barbeque area, heated hot tub, pool/snooker table, European TV and Wifi throughout the properties and large grounds.
The Pool Kitchen is at the right hand end of the pool for the necessary shaded area and with table and chairs, Kitchen, shower room and large Barbeque for somewhere to eat in the cool.
You may decide to 'chill out' and just stay at Casa Cruz for the whole of your stay.
However, this is a wonderful area of Spain which has a wealth of beauty, interest and places to visit.
Olive groves beckon for a gentle stroll, or if you are feeling more energetic why not walk up the track to the nearest village just two kms away and enjoy the local hospitality.
Nearby, situated above a 32km long lake, is the old Spanish town of Iznajar, With lovely whitewashed houses and narrow winding streets.
The castle dates from the 8th century while the church dates from the 16th century.
The climb to the top is well worth the effort, as the views are spectacular. Of course you can always stop for some refreshment on the way.
If you enjoy eating out there are many restaurants/bars to choose from, all within easy reach of the Casa Cruz, ranging from the Tapas bars in the village to the 5 Star luxury Hotel La Bobadilla.
It is also possible to go further afield as Iznajar is just ten minutes from the villas, 40 minutes from Granada and 90 minutes from Seville.
This makes Casa Cruz ideally situated for sightseeing; the Alhambra Palace is 45 minutes away, ski slopes at Sierra Nevada less than 2 hours, Caminito del Rey gorge walk an hour away, and if you fancy a day trip to Gibraltar this is also possible.
