The main house and grounds cover an area of almost 2 acres which offer a private, naturist environment. A further 6 acres of land comprising of meadow and woodland adjoins surrounding farmland giving the property its decidedly quiet, rural feel. The facilities and grounds are shared with the owners and other guests but with plenty of space for seclusion and privacy. Sun loungers, deck chairs and so forth are placed around the gardens to offer sunny or shady areas to laze the day away!
The outdoor pool is heated to a constant 28 degrees and has an attractive patio area for sunbathing or al fresco dining. The pool and patio are lit for evening swims. The indoor pool is kept a little warmer at 31 degrees and is adjacent to the sauna room. Relax in the sauna, jump into the pool and then back into the sauna – heavenly!! At night guests really appreciate a candle-lit swim in the indoor pool.
Within easy reach of Le Colombage are Chalon-Sur-Soane (20km), Beaune (30km) and Dijon (50 km). The major Burgundy vineyards can be reached in 30 minutes – a tour of the wine route being a highly recommended way of experiencing the beautiful Burgundian countryside while testing its most famous product.
Burgundy is regarded as the gastronomic centre of France; Jeremy and Kim can recommend good restaurants ranging from hearty family restaurants to the famous ‘Lameloise’ Michelin 3 rosette restaurant near Chalon. To the East lies Switzerland reached by a 2 hour scenic drive through the Jura mountains and to the west the Morvan National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Some of the Guests Comments speak for the quality of holiday you can expect at 'Le Colombage'. ‘The only problem is: having to leave!’ Sue and Mick, Dorset ‘Thanks for a great week. Good company, lovely gite and the candlelit swims in the indoor pool - heaven. See you next year.’ K and S, Germany. ‘We’ve visited many naturist resorts big and small. This is one of the best. We loved the informality, the sauna and indoor pool. Are we envious –oh yes!’ A and S, Hants 'This was a fantastic holiday, we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we got there and nothing was too much trouble for Jeremy and Kim. The indoor pool was great for relaxing in the evening and the massage was also very relaxing although we were chilled anyway! The only trouble was we had to get dressed and drive home. We will definitely be staying again.' Anne and Paul, Leicestershire
