Naturist Paradise

The naturist site of Port Leucate in the South of France consists of several villages, located on the offshore strip of land between the lake and the sea.

This area, strictly reserved for naturists, has a Mediterranean beach which was voted one of the world's top 10 naturist beaches in a Daily Mail survey.

It was described in Bare Beaches Guide as "a superb bare beach of fine golden sand stretching for almost 1 mile. The water is normally calm and the shore shelves gently into the sea making it ideal for young families."

This dream could become a reality because you now have an opportunity to rent a superb 3 bedroom villa, situated opposite the lake in the luxurious Jardins de Venus development within the Port-Leucate naturist resort. The village is a “gated community” so is very secure and safe for young family members.

The villa is the most spacious villa available for rent in the naturist area and, with all it’s mod cons, is a real home-from-home making it the perfect base for exploring the Languedoc’s many wonderful attractions (that's if you can tear yourselves away from the beach!).

The open plan design, including large windows and high ceilings, ensures maximum light and air flow.

With a South-West aspect, the villa enjoys sunshine from mid-morning until sunset and is one of the few villas with a direct view over the Pyrenees to the South.

The villa is a privately owned home, where you will find lots of home comforts and high quality furniture. There is an open-plan living area which is airy with a comfortable seating area, a dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen.

There is also a TV/DVD (with "FreeSat" for English TV and radio) and CD/MP3 player with iPod docking station. Wifi internet connection is also available.

From the salon, two sets of patio doors lead onto the outside decking, with a small garden and a natural beach beyond that. In the distance are the yacht masts of Port Leucate and the Pyrenees. The wonderful main beach is just a five minute (nude) walk away.

Back inside the villa, upstairs are the master bedroom (with balcony) and twin bedroom, both of which have ceiling fans and overlook the lagoon!

The third bedroom is at the back of the house and is suitable for children. The shower room is luxuriously finished with a large power shower and granite topped cabinets.

The Leucate naturist area covers some 50 hectares and is situated about 25 miles north-east of Perpignan, in the warmest and driest area of France.

The whole area is clothes-optional although nudity is required in the swimming pools.

There is no pressure to be dressed or naked at anytime which makes Leucate ideal for first time naturists or, indeed, for a family where one member is more comfortable clothed!

People usually get dressed to eat in the evenings, but some restaurants are more casual than others.

The Centre Commercial within the naturist area contains an excellent bakery, butcher/deli, a tabac, a small supermarket and wine shop.

Therefore, it is quite possible to stay on-campus and clothes-free for the duration of your stay.

Should you wish to venture away from Leucate, you are in a stunning area of France in which to sightsee! There are the nearby towns of Perpignan, Narbonne and Beziers, and the beautiful fortified town of Carcassonne.

You could also take the opportunity to visit the local wine regions, including Fitou and Corbières, which provide top quality red and rose wines.

Cycle tracks take you through the woods to Port Leucate where you can enjoy fine seafood next to the marina, or to Leucate village that provides further options for shopping or sitting at one of the cafés in the newly refurbished square.

You may decide just to completely relax for the whole of your holiday. You may wish to explore this beautiful region of France. Whatever your desire, what better way to do it than from a luxurious naturist villa!
