Lavender Cottage
for Naturist Seclusion
in Yorkshire

Lavender Cottage is a lovely 2-to-3 bedroom cottage with spectacular views of Nidderdale being situated in an elevated position above the Yorkshire Dales town of Pateley Bridge (winner of the Village High Street of the Year award for 2016).

It has been converted from an original barn to provide very stylish
accommodation having solid oak flooring throughout, gas central heating and internet access.

Lavender Cottage is ideal for couples and families, and can accommodate up to four people.  Being all on one level (apart from a small step in the kitchen and one small step in the bathroom into the shower) it is also ideal for those with reduced mobility.

The entrance area leads into the kitchen which overlooks the courtyard.

This is equipped with a 'Trio' combination ceramic hob, electric oven and a dishwasher.

There is a range of units with solid oak work surfaces, a fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a small breakfast bar with two stools.

There is a washing machine, an iron, ironing board and drying rack in the laundry room directly opposite the door to the cottage.

From the kitchen, a small step up leads to the wonderful open-plan living area.

This has comfy electric recliner armchairs, a sofa and a folding gate leg dining table and chairs.

The television has an Amazon Fire TV Stick.  There are also books, jigsaws and board games.

There is a king size bed in a curtained area of the living room, and also a large wardrobe.

Two single bedrooms and the bathroom are accessed from the living room, the bathroom being equipped with a washbasin, toilet, bidet and large walk-in shower.

This is fed directly from the cottage's combi boiler so hot water is on demand.

Double 'French window' doors lead out from the living area directly onto the courtyard.

This has a table and chairs and absolutely stunning views across the fields and Dales.

Opposite the courtyard is the walled garden area with a table and chairs, sun loungers and a summerhouse that houses a wonderful Swedish sauna.

You will only have to visit nearby Pately Bridge for the majority of your supplies where you will find a Nisa mini market and a Spar shop along with bakers and butchers.

There are also various large supermarkets in Harrogate and Ripon, about 30 minutes by car.

For the energetic, you are spoilt for the choice of walks right on the doorstep of Lavender Cottage. These include the lovely Panorama Walk which is part of the Nidderdale Way and takes you into Pateley Bridge.

A thirty minutes walk from your front door brings you here.

Other local attractions range from How Stean Gorge and Stump Cross Caverns to the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden and The Forbidden Corner (if you have children it’s a must and they will love it!).

When it comes to eating and drinking out, you are totally spoilt for choice.

Most of the local pubs serve a selection of local real ales, including Timothy Taylor’s Landlord and Black Sheep bitter – the two best beers there are!

The local pubs also serve very good meals and there is also Olleys Ristorante & Pizzeria in Pateley Bridge which is very popular.

In addition, there are two Michelin star restaurants in the area where you can experience fine dining at its best.

There are some local taxi services available if you would prefer to get a taxi somewhere rather than driving yourself.

Whether it is rest and recuperation, exercise, or wining and dining you are looking for, your needs will be met in the wonderful countryside in and around Pateley Bridge, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
